Creating stone sculptures is a labour of love. Rough blocks of unforgiving stone are hand carved using a chisel and mallet. The form, concealed within, slowly reveals itself.
Zoe's favourite stone to carve is a limestone which enables the smooth, rounded shapes found in her sculpture. It is a beautiful quality stone with warm honey colouring, and durable – mellowing naturally as it ages and weathers.
